Topic of discussion:
‘Slidecasting‘ - Slidecasting is a essentially a mashup of slides and audio to present a dynamic and engaging user experience.
Why do you need to know about Slidecasting?
If you’re a podcaster…
Ever have the desire to present slides or photos to effectively describe what you’re sharing on your audio podcast?
Can you imagine your listeners’ frustrations when listening to your podcast and not knowing how to get to the parts that they really want to listen to?
Now, if you’re offering some wonderful nuggets of information by saying – go to 15:30 for this info, slidecasting offers your listener a visual way to navigate an audio file and stop and listen to what interests them the most.
If you want to know how many times your podcast files are being downloaded, one of the services we’ll showcase, Slideshare.com will accept audio from anywhere on the web, so you can track it.
If you’re a web marketer or business owner…
Think you have a "face made for radio" and not for video? <wink>
Have the desire to present your products or services to your audience in a more engaging and dynamic way?
Want to showcase your presentations, product launches, training and slideshows?
Slidecasting will present you a viable option to "YouTube for your powerpoints or photos". Your slidecasts can be humorous, serious, work-related, picture slideshows, public speeches, inspirational, academic, artistic, holistic or whatever else you envision it to be.
What do you need to do?

Sherman,
If you need an example that produced a buzz go to http://www.sterlingssoutherncafe.com and click on video on the right.
Sterlings is an upscale restaurant in the little coastal town of St Marys Georgia. We have collected 700+ email address over the last 6 months. Sterlings is moving across the street after a major renovation to an historic home (and going from 32 seats to 80 seats). The slides and audio caused such a buzz that we are getting calls from TV stations and magazines to feature us.
