Will Newman, AWAI Interviews Sherman Hu

Will Newman, Managing Editor of “Copywriting Insider” (AWAI) interviewed me this morning. Frankly, this ranks as one of my all time favorite interview sessions. I believe alot had to do with how much of a pro Will is with his pre-interview research. He had invested hours of research into my previous blog entries, podcasts and videos before conducting his interview with intelligent questions that inspired lengthy, in-depth answers from me. Almost felt like an “Inside The Actors Studio” session ;-)

HIs audience are copywriting students, novice professional writers and folks who are generally tech-unsavvy. The questions Will asked of me really opened up answers targeting mindset and practices with respects to blogging, podcasting, video and social media / networking.

I’m confident you’ll receive tremendous value from this interview. It would really thrill me to receive your feedback, thoughts and comments on this interview and your takeaways that you’ll take action on.

(sidenote: To prevent audio feedback with Will, this interview seems 1-sided with me talking. As much as I could, I rephrased Will’s question/s before my answers. Just a heads up.)

Thanks to Chris Brogan (www.ChrisBrogan.com) for raising awareness of using Utterz for voice capabilities or voice feedback for a website or blog.

As I’m working with Paul Young, author of The Shack (www.TheShackBook.com) and his blog (www.WindRumors.com), we discussed possibilities of giving his readers a ‘voice’ and using Utterz may fit that bill.

Thanks Chris.

How could you use Utterz for your business?

Is Everything Fantastic?

After our dinner was served by our waiter, Russ at Earls Restaurant, he came around and asked, "Is everything fantastic?"

That got me thinking - How can you and I use this to position our offerings?

He actually shared with us "I don’t want to use words everyone uses. And I want you to expect fantastic service from me so you’ll come back to dine here every night!"

Not only did I share our pleasure of great service with his manager, but we tipped him well too. And you will get word of mouth marketing from your happy customers (think ‘Evangelist’) and you will get ‘tipped’ very well with new business and new customers.

Here’s a quick snapshot of Russ and my children. Thanks Russ, you made dinner a fantastic experience!

Comparing TrafficGeyser.com and TubeMogul.com

This blog post is in response to Ray Prince’s question when he commented on my "Video Rankings, Transcription & Mobile Blogging" entry.

2007-12-02_0902 VS 2007-12-02_0830

Hi Ray, thanks for your greetings!

I hear TrafficGeyser is a great product, and the creators one (Frank, Michael & Rocket) are good people.

TrafficGeyser does more than broadcast video to 35 video-sharing sites from what I understand. Its a comprehensive service that offers slidecasting, bonus royalty-free music packs, toll-free numbers to record podcasts or testimonials, video-to-audio conversion, broadcasting to podcast directories and social bookmarking sites. For anyone who wants these features from one service for a 97/m subscription, then TrafficGeyser is for them.

TubeMogul broadcasts and tracks metrics of your videos across a dozen video sharing sites from one screen (which is super convenient). It does what it does very well, plus its free.

For those who do not mind using multiple services to accomplish what TrafficGeyser does (in one paid membership), and would prefer free services or pay-to-own-once products/services, then they can accomplish similar or better results using:
